IAC 999 Charter
General Objectives
We, all concerned Afrocentrics, regardless of age and gender, of abode and political or ideological affiliation, hereby declare before our Creator and ourselves to work in earnest and perseverance towards the building of the following foundational guideline Principles:
•To Transform the sad deteriorating state of AfroCentric peoples through the espousal of continual development and workshop projects
•To provide a platform for cultural, creative and inspirational writings, and, publishing opportunities for young writers and authors
•To re-establish the cultural relevance of HIP HOP and to reinstate its five elements with the aim to promote multi-cultural coalitions toward economical empowerment
•To encourage links between AfroCentric migrants and their Motherland through meaningful income-generating investments into cultural music and performing arts, and other production projects that will provide benefits and return on investment to prospective participants
•To uphold and regenerate Afrocentric Languages, Culture and Heritage as well as supporting the preservation of Afrocentric Territory
•And, creation of a unified administration centre for the best interest of Afrocentrics worldwide.
The above are based on the following Principles:
1)The Institute of AfroCentric Culture is not a political or ideological entity, and does not intend to replace the various Black/Brown people based organisations, clubs and associations. The IAC is a popular voluntary movement that coordinates all the already existing bodies
2)Cultural development by way of the IAC is a multi-facet issue and requires the commitment and application of effort from all Afrocentrics regardless of their political or ideological affiliations or their current place of abode; and a unification of the AfroCentric contribution away from Eurocentric and other Urbancentric, and for the public good
3)The preservation of identity from loss and fragmentation, and the protection of AfroCentric languages, history and cultural heritage from extinction will not occur without:
-Provision of basic infrastructure and services
-Espousal of development and investment projects
-Education of the administrative, technical and technological cadres
-Cooperation with government and non-government bodies and institutions locally and internationally
-Facilitating learning Afrocentric languages and, artistic and literary creativity for all Afrocentrics upholding the right for all to education, employment and participation in public life
-Abidance by all human-rights conventions (children, women and minorities) and conventions of international organisations.
